Salon LA with Anita L. DeFrantz and Michelle Kwan

International Olympic Committee member and President LA84 Foundation Anita L. DeFrantz and Figure Skating Champion Michelle Kwan will join The Honorable Antonio R. Villaraigosa, Mayor of Los Angeles on Monday, February 13, Getty House Foundation’s next Salon LA.

The series, which supports the Foundation’s efforts to oversee the Official Residence of the Mayor and to provide funding for public school projects that enhance civics education, takes place at the Mayor’s house in Windsor Square. Mayor Villaraigosa will discuss women and sport with Ms. DeFrantz and Ms. Kwan.

The work of Chris Barrett Design (chrisbarrettdesign.com) has been featured in such publications as the Los Angeles Times, House Beautiful, Traditional Home, The Robb Report and Architectural Digest, among others. The company is currently
launching “Chris Barrett Textiles,” a vibrant collection of outdoor soft furnishing fabrics printed on 100% Securelle and hand-designed with signature abstract patterns.

Salon LA with Lance Armstrong

Seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong joined Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa on Wednesday, May 18, to launch Getty House Foundation’s speakers’ series called Salon LA speakers series. Wells Fargo serves as Salon LA’s lead
sponsor, and The David BohnettFoundation, Frank Marshall andKathleen Kennedy, and SONY PicturesEntertainment serve as other key sponsors. The series, which supports the Foundation overseeing the Official Residence of the Mayor and education initiative for school children, took place and will continue to take place at the Mayor’s house.
